I once watched a YouTube video where someone said that all beginner photographers go through a “flower phase.” If you think about it, it really does make sense. They’re colorful, beautiful and stationary, all attributes that make for an easy subject. I absolutely went through that when I went to the rose garden last fall.
Now that spring has finally sprung (hopefully), trees have begun to bloom again. Every time I walk to school, I always make note of them in the morning light. So one afternoon I grabbed my camera and went for a walk to school.
I don’t think I’ll ever fall out of the “flower phase”. After a winter that felt like forever, it’s nice to see some color in the world again.
