Chemex

Chemex is a pour over coffeemaker that is (in my opinion) one of the most photogenic ways you can make coffee.  There’s something appealing about it’s hourglass shape and its minimalism.  Although I’m not a big fan of pour over coffee, I would absolutely get a Chemex just for the aesthetic appeal.

A couple of weeks ago, a local coffee shop had a free tasting for three new beans that they were debuting.  Naturally, when I heard “free” and “coffee” in the same sentence, I went running.

As someone that loves their coffee, it’s always interesting to watch it being brewed.  I have a coffee-themed photoshoot in the works and I’m excited to get that out as soon as possible.

But first, it’s about time to have a cup.
