Phase one of my exploration had me walking through a park that’s right by the place that I live. There’s something calming with being next to a body of water, even if it’s just a small river. There’s something oddly nice with just sitting down and watching the surface flow.

It was also a nice opportunity to relearn some landscape photography. I found myself struggling to find compositions that I really liked, especially at 35mm. I think I need to spend a bit more time with landscapes, especially when I’m dealing with wider vistas that are a bit more distant. I don’t think any of these photos are particularly riveting, but I hope that they bring you a bit of calmness for the weekend.
