Street photography has never been my forte. I feel that I’ve spoken about this before in the past – everything is fast and fleeting. You have one chance to get the light right, the angle, the focus, the focal length… everything! And if it works out, it works out. If you’re not fast, you miss out on something that could have been.

So please enjoy the my favorite street photo that I’ve ever taken. This image is best viewed full screen, so give it a click to maximize it.

I saw the burning sky and tried to line up oncoming traffic on the bridge with the setting sun for a neat silhouette shot. I noticed a jogger coming from the left and knew I would only have one instance to get it right. Out of the 3 pictures I took in a burst, none of them had the jogger just right. I contemplated digitally replacing him with a runner silhouette, but in the end decided against it. I’m happy with the way this turned out in the end.

Stay tuned for more street photography shenanigans.
