I had an idea a long while back to ‘cry colors’. I imagined something grungy or at the very least… unconventional. So the gears starting turning – how am I going to do this?

This may have been the hardest selfie I ever had to take. I had to set up lighting and the camera before staining my eyes and shooting the pictures (all while I couldn’t really see). I was also paying special attention to where the stain was going, because it stains surfaces and clothes a deep green, which was annoying.
It also stains skin a deep green. Which is why I decided to shoot this on a Saturday night when I knew I didn’t have to be anywhere the day after. I may have had a line on my face for quite a while.
