12.22.17 – The New England Aquarium is full of interesting and exotic animals. It’s an aquarium after all. During my time there, their jellyfish exhibit was filled with jellyfish of all shapes in sizes swimming in a cylinder in every direction. I didn’t really have any idea of how to photograph it, so I just aimed my 50 mm lens at it and went for it.
What I didn’t account for was how extremely dim the tank actually was. It was lit from just the top and bottom, so most of the light spilled out along the sides. So when I looked at the photos when I got home, it was interesting to see the fish swimming in a void. Nothingness.
I can probably stare at jellyfish all day long.
