September, 2017 – Back when I posted about Symmetry, I ranted about why I enjoyed architectural photography, specifically chandeliers. I am fortunate enough to have been blessed with a school that has a winding staircase with a hanging chandelier in the middle. When you look straight up at it, it really is quite beautiful.
I shot this by holding my camera over a table in the middle of the rotunda, with my articulating screen facing me so I can get it as aligned as I could. Even then it was difficult, and this was the only shot that was perfectly centered with the glass above. I’m glad I got this shot during my time at school, cause I am positive that I will never be able to top this again.
It also looks a bit like an eye. Irony at it’s finest.
