One of the largest fundraisers we have at my school is our Casino Night. Guests buy different tier packages that gives them different amount of drinks, raffle tickets and “funny money” that we can use to gamble. The funny money profits can then be traded in for more raffle tickets. Honestly, I think it’s a brilliant idea.
The organizing club asks for volunteers to help wait finger foods, and they also hire an outside company to come in with roulette, blackjack, and poker tables so we can play for a few hours. They also reach out to students who are amateur photographers (like myself) to shoot at the event. In the end, there were a total of over 500 photos taken of everyone that night.
Disclaimer: Because this was a school event, I will not be posting photos of anyone without their consent.
Overall, the night was overly successful as a fundraiser and was also a lot of fun. I’ve heard in years past that this night is always a large hit. And after experiencing it, I can see why.
Are you feeling lucky?
