The end of the year is a great time to reflect on what you’ve done in the past twelve months. And for those of you who are active on Instagram, many people have posted their Best Nine, which are the nine most liked posts of 2017. I think it’s interesting to reflect on all of the posts that you’ve done in the past year and see what has changed. For me, this has been my first full year with a DSLR, and the first year where I took photography somewhat seriously, so there’s a drastic change between 2016 and 2017.
I also find it fascinating that five out of the past nine are from my time in Boston. It could be because I’ve made a lot more friends after moving here, and have grown a larger follower base. Or it could be because I’ve been exposed to newer and more beautiful places. Or it could be that I’m slowly starting to see the world a bit differently with my photography.
All it took was a change in perspective.
