Pool Party – Summer’s Last Hurrah

For the second year in a row, one of my old professors hosted a pool party at her house on the eastern side of Long Island.  This year, this get together meant a lot more to me, mostly because I wouldn’t be seeing this group of friends for a couple of months.  So I documented the day:  about 400+ photos worth.  And in normal photographer fashion, I decided to keep only a handful that best summed up the day:

Camaraderie in adversity is a fast and easy way to build meaningful relationships with people.  I’ve spent dark days of my life with some of these friends, and I’ll always be grateful for their company and their help.  And as I start a new chapter of my life, I like to think that my path doesn’t stray too far from theirs.  Mine is just a detour.
