It came and it is glorious.
I’ve yet to take it out to a shoot, but I have a running list that I’m building over time. Mostly it comes down to just finding the right time and place to do it. I plan on using the new camera mostly for shoots at home now that I have an articulating screen to work with, I can get a bit more creative.
Meanwhile, I got the Sigma 17-50mm as my new replacement for my kit lens. I plan on using it as my new walk around lens, so I can shoot at lower focal lengths with a larger fixed aperture. I’ll still keep my 50mm 1.8 in the bag as a specialty lens, especially if I ever need to shoot at night or need paper thin depth of field.
